Casting Carousels allows high volume manufacturing of various castings (such as cylinder heads, engine blocks, pistons, manifolds, pump bodies, etc.) guaranteeing maximum repeatability of the technological cycle and minimum supervision. The casting carousel configuration may vary from between three to six casting machines. Each of the casting machines permits independent movement of the molds. The carousels are particularly suited for integration and automation of upstream (cores) and downstream (castings) operations using specific manipulators or anthropomorphic robots, making it possible to set up, where required, fully integrated production cells from core-making to testing of the finished castings. State of the art electronic control and operating systems (hardware and software) and particular video graphics assisted management solutions promote the highest levels of productivity also reducing stoppages and maintenance to a minimum.
Over the years, FATA Aluminum has constructed and installed more than 100 multi-station carousels at leading foundries all over the world, thus confirming not only the excellent technical level achieved but also the particular effectiveness of a solution that permits high volume production of cylinders heads for even the most advance and complex gasoline and diesel automotive engines, guaranteeing maximum repeatability of the technological cycle and minimum attendance.
